USCCA Basic Handgun Class with Live Fire

Where2Wheel is proud to partner with Steady Ground Training to bring professional firearms education right to our property.

This class meets the Virginia requirement for a concealed carry permit. Over 1 million students have taken the U.S. Concealed Carry Association’s course offerings across the nation.

Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.

What to Bring & Important Details


Live Fire Requirements

  • Please bring your handgun (leave in vehicle until instructed) and 50–100 rounds of target ammo
  • If you do not have a handgun, please let us know in advance
  • Bring ear and eye protection — if you don’t have any, some can be provided
  • The range is outdoors on the same property — no extra travel required

Dress Code & Range Notes

  • The range is outdoors — dress accordingly for the weather
  • No open-toed shoes or v-necks
  • Comfortable, closed-toe footwear required

Cancellation Policy

Payments are NON-refundable. If a student is unable to attend on the chosen date, registration can be rescheduled once for a future date within 90 days. After that, funds are forfeited. Notification must be 48 or more hours before class starts. Students that “no-show” to class without communicating with instructors beforehand will forfeit all registration fees and/or deposits. Classes with 3 or less students may be rescheduled.
