Where2Wheel is proud to partner with Steady Ground Training to bring professional firearms education right to our property.
This class meets the Virginia requirement for a concealed carry permit. Over 1 million students have taken the U.S. Concealed Carry Association’s course offerings across the nation.
Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.

What to Bring & Important Details
Live Fire Requirements
- Please bring your handgun (leave in vehicle until instructed) and 50–100 rounds of target ammo
- If you do not have a handgun, please let us know in advance
- Bring ear and eye protection — if you don’t have any, some can be provided
- The range is outdoors on the same property — no extra travel required
Dress Code & Range Notes
- The range is outdoors — dress accordingly for the weather
- No open-toed shoes or v-necks
- Comfortable, closed-toe footwear required
Cancellation Policy
Payments are NON-refundable. If a student is unable to attend on the chosen date, registration can be rescheduled once for a future date within 90 days. After that, funds are forfeited. Notification must be 48 or more hours before class starts. Students that “no-show” to class without communicating with instructors beforehand will forfeit all registration fees and/or deposits. Classes with 3 or less students may be rescheduled.
