Intro to Offroad Driving class is designed for the novice Four-Wheel Drive and All Wheel Drive vehicle owner, who is interested in getting out there. Topics covered will include an overview of how multi-wheel drive systems operate. We will discuss driving terrain, approach angle, safe vehicle operation and ground guiding techniques. Also included an introduction to vehicle recovery equipment and how to safely employ it.
Basic Offroad Recovery & Field Repair class will cover basic offroad recovery & field repairs. Get hands on with your winch, run lines, snatch blocks and shackles. Set up a tow and snatch strap and learn the difference. Fix a flat using multiple methods to reset the bead, plug a tire and replace a valve stem. Fix broken brake lines and radiator hoses “good enough” to get you back to the hard top.
Each class lasts for 2 hours and is held at Total Offroad & More in Virginia Beach – 3232 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23452. Itinerary: Intro to Offroad Driving Class from 9-11AM. Break for lunch (which is included) and then Basic Offroad Recovery & Field Repair Class from 12-2PM.
Tickets are per person.
